If you are an aspiring film maker or know someone who is, we have some great news! This year Share and Care is launching a film maker contest for pieces that will be aired on Sahara One, TV Asia and possibly even more stations.

We have several programming slots that we have secured over the years. Some of you may have seen the informational pieces we have aired in the past. This year we want to offer some of our programming slots to aspiring and talented film makers from the Share and Care family.

We are looking for pieces of any length with two broad based areas of focus: our mission statement, women’s empowerment and youth development; or the importance of philanthropy. Please keep in mind that all pieces will have to be produced at your own expense and you will have four months to complete the film(s).

The rules are pretty simple. You must be a Share and Care member in order to submit an application. Films must be family friendly - no adult situations or language please!

Applications should include the following information

· Resume

· Cover letter explaining your background in film and interest in Share and Care

· Film Pitch - a detailed description of the film you want to create. What is the film about? Who will be in it and why? What music score will you use? Where will you shoot and edit? Is it a documentary, fiction piece, animation or other? Brief bios of your cast and crew. Length of time for production.

Applications must be received by May 1st. Winners will be notified by the end of the month and will be profiled in the website and newsletter. The films will have to be completed by the end of September to air in time slots through the end of the year.

Film & Recipe Contest Guidelines

All Film & Recipe contributions should be original. All Film and Recipe become Share and Care Foundation property upon submission. Your submission may be used in all our print and electronic media. If selected, we reserve the right to edit.

Contributions cannot be acknowledged or returned. Please do not forward attachments with your e-mail. Due to various considerations, even usable Recipe or Film may not be published for six months or more. The competition may be intense. It may also take some time for your submission to be considered; please don't inquire about the status of your submission -- we'll be in touch with you.
