The Share and Care Foundation Scholarship is a $1,500 (One
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars) award based upon financial
need, intellectual potential, personal integrity, enthusiasm
for learning and evidence of a desire to better humanity.
This award is open to both female and male U.S high school
seniors who meet the following requirements:
- Applicant must exhibit financial need. Annual
gross family income should be $60,000 or less.
- Applicant must be of Asian-Indian origin. Specifically,
this means that the applicant must either have been born
in India, or have at least one natural parent born in
India.
- Applicant must be enrolled as a senior in a U.S high
school, been accepted into an accredited four-year academic
institution, and have achieved a minimum SAT score
of 1,100, or equivalent ACT score.
- Completed application form must be postmarked no later
than May 31, 2005. No application will be accepted
after this date.
Accepted applicants will be notified of their award
by July 15, 2005. We will not send regret letters to
those applicants who will not receive the award.
Share and Care Foundation's Screening and Scholarship
Committee will review the information disclosed in this
application.. This information will be confidentially
maintained and will not be used for any purpose other
than determining the awarding of these scholarships.
- The scholarship will be issued for four years, provided
the award recipient successfully completes the previous
year's courses, indicating the academic year he/she is
in and forwards this committee a grade transcript for
the completed year with the current years family income
tax returns.
- The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final and
cannot be challenged in any manner.
- The application should be typed or printed clearly,
completed and signed. Incomplete applications will
be disqualified.
- Please compile your application package in the following
order, and mail it to the address shown below.
- Completed Application
- Essay
- wo recommendation letters - at least one from your
high school teacher
- High school transcript with your senior year midterm
grades.
- Copy of your parent's complete Income Tax Returns
from last two years, with all the schedules attached.
